    Default H&K 416 tool

I’m curious if there’s anything out there made by H&K for the removal of the rail. I know you can use the bolt lugs to loosen the screw. If there’s not a tool made specifically for this then what are you guys using besides the bolt lugs. Thanks in advance

Despite what the original intent was...don't use the damn bolt lugs on it. If you absolutely must, use the one on the opposite side of the extractor. But a big phillips...or big flathead...or the file in a multitool are fine.

I found this tool on the internet. FYI I’m not an airsofter!! But I’m surprised no one else makes a tool like this

Just get the current screw which uses a normal 12mm wrench in case of the 417 or a normal allen hex for the 416.

That old "nut thing" is only present on airsoft guns and first run rifles.

My Geissele rail has the screw that the bolt lug fits on. That’s why I was asking. It’s an older G-rail that’s the lighter DDC. The extra g-rail I have is darker. I’ll just pick up a fat screwdriver and use that

Pic of the rail with the screw. I didn’t know newer ones had a different screw

The wrench that comes with a leatherman mut works great on the Geissele HK rail bolt. I’ll see if I can get pics

    Hello
me on my MR 223, I replaced the screw by an Allen
much easier to unscrew, and above all we can not scratch the hand guard
