Default HK 416 uppers on Anderson lowers.

    All,
Looking for a bit of guidance here. I was at the range and had a beater Anderson Lower with a pistol brace I was shooting. I decided to take the 416 upper and pump a few rounds through the AK date coded upper.
Low and behold the HK upper would not mate with the Anderson lower receiver. I tried it on two different Anderson manufactured lowers with no luck.
This upper mates up with all my PSA and other manufactured lower receivers. To my understanding the Andersons are made to Military specifications. What am I missing here?
    Thanks

HK416's are compatible with mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers. I won't bash Anderson here but the issue is almost certainly your lower(s).

I will; they're garbage. They are NOT milspec.

If you can afford a 416 upper, you can afford a non-POS lower.

A 416 upper deserves an HK lower. :)

At the very least, the spirit of the design was to be reverse compatible as an upper conversion for .gov use.

...at least that's what helped me sleep at night.

Oh yes, especially if it is a registered receiver M16. :D A dream gun of mine, or better yet, a semi auto 416 lower (heck, I'd even take an MR556 lower) with RDIAS for select fire operation and 416 upper.

@dms16 is correct. I will say this, 416 uppers are made to very tight tolerances. I have one on a Colt M16 lower, one on a STT15 lower, and another set to go on a Colt AR15 lower. The fit on all is tight.
