    I mean...HK....WTF?????!!!!!. I get the Harris bipod.....we're on a budget, and couldn't do the $220.00 B&T bipod
so we went for the $118.00 bipod...I get it...they accomplish the same thing, but Homie.....
This is like a Porsche 911 using wheels/tires off a KIA ……. I love you guys but this is just..... <face palm>

I'm not saying give the Sig scopes a chance, but if you dig deeper...they do make some sense. Sig managed to snake away some of the guys that helped breath new life into Leupold a la the Mk 6 and 8 series and their reticle options are actually not stupid like some things I've seen. Would I still trust Sig?...hell no but they seem to be the Army's new pet whether we like it or not.

If you really want to lose faith in the Army's optic prowess:

    Strike Eagles?...really?

Regards to the Harris. I've got more Atlas's that Harris at this point but Harris makes more sense for soldiers. They're not the best but they're quick to deploy and adjust; add the locking lever and they'll fit the bill. If you haven't seen Thunderbeast's new bipod offering...go look at it. Seems like they picked the best parts of the market and put it into one bipod (unfortunately with a cost to match).

    B&T bipod is pretty bad.

Edit : I thought you were talking about the B&T bipod for the 416F which is pretty bad, not the Atlas, to be clear.

For military, black rifles make no sense. Almost nothing environmental is pure black. Grays, drabs and muted tones are far more versatile. Black guns stick out like a sore thumb under NV. Soldiers are camo'd and have no black...why have a weapon that's a target indicator.

I'm surprised that the M38 is black...likely following its M27 brother.

About the only thing black is good for is for is the kind of LE brass that gets a hard on over patent leather, basket weave holsters, and mount-me hats. Cause FDE or krylon AR's would be too scary or unprofessional to be seen by the public.
