Default 416 10" vented gas block. Where do we get these?

I know they come up from time to time on the sale forums, but usually are very overpriced. I am in line (just like others here) to get a 10.4" Nefarious Arms chrome line barrel, and would like to get in on this vented gas block that is genuine HK of course. Anyone got any insights where these can be found or even possibly do a group buy?

Keep a watch at Hurricane Butterfly. Last I talked to Jason, he was supposed to have some new 10" vented gas blocks in a few weeks. Other than that, I do not know of anyone else with them.

I believe Marvin at Nefarious Arms can help you vent a regular gas block.

I have seen where Marvin welds up the MR556 vent hole and re-vents it to a smaller port. My current MR556 gasblock is welded up...I've beeen thinking about just drilling it myself.

I'd be curious to see what size Marvin goes with the gas ports on his barrels. The 10.4 416 (or in my case, a MR556 conversion) is rather violent with the recoil with no vent on the gas block on an already rather aggressive blowback rifle.

    It’s probably 1.0mm, from what I recall.

From what I’ve read, venting your current gas block is the easiest way to go

I did get a vented gas block for my non vented barrel.. runs great with a suppressor on but a little sluggish without the suppressor. The gas port is supposed to be opened up after changing form unvented to vented gas blocks.. I don't want to be the guys that takes a reamer to his German barrel lol Is there anyone I can send my upper to to get them to open it up that knows what they are doing ?
