Default Hey to all fo you from Italy

I'm Andrew from Italy and i have a MR223 16,5 barrel, one of the first i think, serial number 326. European version. No fail until now, i've just lost 2 days ago the block small pin that hold in place upper/lower locking pin. Nothing terrible. I'm a shooter and a gun collector and from last year also a shooting instructor, but it's not my first work. Only passion! :)
I have also a USP, maybe just trade and several others rifle and handguns and shotguns. Italian's tradition!
Thank you to accept me on this forum! And forgive me, my english is a little bit "rusty"

Welcome to the site reveln. How difficult is for civilians to acquire a gun in Italy?

not so difficult. Is a right for "good" citizen, i mean with clean felony history. You can have a sport gun permit that allows you to transport ( in the trunk of your car and unloaded only ) your guns until a shooting range or your different house. And a hunting permit to use during hunting period. You have limitation about quantity and ammo if you do not have "collector" licence that i have or special "shooter/instructor" permit. You can buy guns only after get sport licence or simple licence to have it in your house. All full-auto guns are absolutely forbidden! But if something happens and unluckly you have to use it to defend yourself get prepared to have a strong judge trial, very expensive and often absolutely unfair. I'm admin of the biggest "gun social group" in Italy, more than 106.00 member, and most of the time we explain to members our veeeery difficult laws that almost no one can understand. But passion is passion and we resist! :) :) i've been living in USA 20 years ago and i would really like to come back! Complimento for your forum is very well done and full of info hard to find outside.

I just returned from Italy a week ago... I hoped to find some gun related things to see, but I couldn't find any on my path. Instead, I looked at old buildings and cities
