I believe Marvin can do it and I would ask James from Teufelshund Tactical. Which gas block did you get?

I haven't purchased any type of gas block yet just doing my due diligence first.

Make sure you get the correct gas block for whatever sized barrel you get.

You can use a 14.5/16” gas block on a 10.4” barrel but you will have to have the barrel gas port bored out to get the correct dwell time for the rifle to cycle correctly.

Are the mags proprietary like the 762 version?

I was thinking of selling my Daniel defense and go in on one but the market is so soft itís not worth going that route.

GI mags work, early Pmags don’t. But later gen Pmags do. I only have HK steel mags, because I’m a fool and my money was soon parted from me;-)

Emags, Gen 3 Pmags, GI mags and Lanver mags. The reason that MOE and early pmags donít work is because of the extended magwell on the MR. Surefire 60/100 rounders donít work either.

Now is a great time to get a MR... they aren't hugely popular and prices are low (for an HK, anyway!). I don't think there's ever a good time to get into a 416 upper though; I think prices will always be too high.

Well I just purchased an MR556A1 lower and a 416 10.4" vented upper. I figured what the heck might as well get it as we'll probably never see anything new from HK any time soon and at my rate I don't know how many years I got left to play with this stuff.

Is it possible to install the 416A5 trigger guard on the MR556A1? I noticed the A5 guard didn't have the front locking tab that the A1 does.
