    Default MR-762 LRP Opinions needed.....

    Hey Guys

I've been considering diving into the MR762-LRP set up. So??? is it worth it, or should I just jump to the MR762? This is going to be a shooter, not a safe queen by a long shot Pun intended.

    Looking for pros/cons.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like a hodgepodge of HK chosen add on parts to me, Leupold 3-9?? Larue bipod??. I can think of way better choices for the bipod, scope and mount from the get go.
If I were looking to kit an MR it wouldn't be an LRP to be sure.......

I think the only real difference is the barrel twist. 762 is 1/11” and LRP 1/10” IIRC.

    Thanks Dave.

So.....trigger, weight/pull is the same in both??? And is a 1/11 vs. 1/10 really that big a deal?????

    And yes.....those are questions.

Thanks again for your help here.

AFAIK the triggers are the same, no special sauce sprinkled on the LRP. I replaced my 762 with a Geissele before I shot it.

You would think the LRP would come with a Geiss trigger which seems like a no brainer considering the price

the one thing to consider is the stock set up is much nicer on the lrp set up I sold my lrp for so I could fund a regular one but then I also SBR to a 13 inch system. I really did like the stock set up on the lrp package. I am now going to try and find the parts to get the g28 stock set up again for my sbr
