    Default HK416N Clone

Gotta good deal on the MR556 upper a few years back (was intrigued by the piston system) and really not sure if I want to cut down the barrel or not, or what to do with it. Anyway, always kinda like the way the Norwegian HK416N look so here she is on a BRN-4 lower. She's a beast to say the least, one heavy girl. Not 100% HK but I'm pretty happy with the way she turns out.

Very cool. Brownell's lowers are 416 forgings so you are good.

Great looking 416 replica. Probably as close to the Norwegian model as you can get with the parts that can be obtained here in the US. If money were no object, would you consider also a M27 or M38 replica?

Thank you for all the compliments, gents. It was a fun project trying to source all the parts. May be I need a few more lol, leaning towards a more compact model like a 416C.

I'm done with the 16.5 barrel model. She is really heavy. I'm not sure how much weight I would save if I get the barrel turned down, would it even make any difference? So no.

After searching high and low, I ended up with an airsoft part from a manufacture in Taiwan, HAO Industries. It's made of 4140 steel and fits MR556 barrel perfectly. Not ever going to put a bayonet on it so I didn't care as long as it is aesthetically correct (a must for 416N model).
