    Default Pantone or RAL8000

I have a Schimdt & Bender 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC or order in Pantone CCW since April.
A 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC RAL8000 CCW is available or a 1-8x24 PM II ShortDot Dual CC Pantone CW is available.
    I don’t want CW turrets.
My question is which color does the German Army use?
From a pic sent to me, I really can’t tell the difference in color.
So which color do I choose?
    Thanks for any help!

    RAL8000.

May I ask from whom you ordered? It only took me 2 months to get a black one from EuroOptics.

Germany/HK uses RAL 8000 as stated

RAL 8000 is a sort of baby sh!t/mustardy brownish yellow
Pantone is a sort of drab tan that's far more subtle than the above.

The difference is hard to tell in pics.

One side by side w/ Pantone on left, RAL8000 on right

    Another Pantone of mine:

FWIW, both colors kinda suck. A the very best, they serve as a decent base (especially Pantone) for better camo. Aside from being a signature German/HK color, RAL8000 is effectively worthless in the field...
BE ADVISED: S&B cerakoted scopes (RAL or Pantone) cost more than black, but command lower resale than black.

To me--- richness of color--- RAL8000 > Pantone--- the latter being more of a "dull tan" v. a "glossier yellow"!!!
