I know it’s not a legit 416 but it’s the closest I could get. I already have a legit 10.4 AF date code upper. Trying to source parts to complete this build. I don’t know who did the engraving but they did a great job. I’m still missing a few parts to complete this set though.

. I got it from a buddy that had it done. He doesn’t remember who did the work. I’m trying to find a reputable company that can hard coat anodize tan that won’t make it come out brown dark brown. The ones I’ve seen lately either cone out dark brown or a foreskin pink. Anyone have any suggestions?

Very impressive.! Do ask your buddy the shop name. I'd love to see the completed build.

I'm not sure there is much that can be don't to control the color of the type III clear anodizing. You can see the disclaimer from Geissele on their DDC products https://geissele.com/desert-dirt-color-ddc. I would be curious if there is somebody out there who has controlling the color down pat, but it seems to be based on several environmental and metallurgy factors during the reaction process. But I wish you luck, that's a sweet setup you have going there.
