    Default 416 bolt blues

Sooooooo, three months ago I called HK with a small cosmetic issue on a swag item I bought and got to talking to a nice man about a 416 bolt I wanted to purchase. He actually took my credit card and placed the order and advised that I should receive the bolt in early October. Instead, I got a call the other day telling me that they have decided to cease selling this item to civilians and that if I wanted one I’d have to order thru LEO account. UGGHH!! Isn’t the 416 and MR 556 bolt the same? Are they going to stop selling the MR 556 bolt? I really do not want to buy a Brownell's bolt.... wanted a german one. Any suggestions aside from leaving a scathing Yelp review?

Try calling back and asking for a MR556 bolt and see what they say. Don’t frag them unless you've asked.

And yes, they are the same. My spare 556 bolts are identical to my 416 upper bolts.

I was being sarcastic with scathing Yelp review-but someone did just offer to sell me their new 416 bolt for $650 guess Im going to try and see if the mr556 bolt is in stock first.
