    Default 416/556 and 762/417 Ambi Safetly Axle - are thye the same?

    As the title asks, are these two parts the same for both rifles?

    Yes, I believe they are the same, I have interchanged between 5.56 and 7.62 with no issues.

    …..and where to get the 2 little sleeve pins to connect the safety levers to the safety axle?

    Been searching for a safety axle in stock all over the net. Any leads on where to find one you could share?

    As of a few days ago, Brownells had them back in stock.

    HKParts is the only place out of about 7 I use that has them in stock.

    The safety axle I have had on back order at Brownells just landed in my mailbox this week. Their price is the best I found.

    I am having the new axle’s right side shaved down to make a single sided HK brand safety selector. Having them put a small half circle dimple in the center of the blank side to match the dimple on the Geissele trigger pins.
