Default HK 417 Any Build Completed

I just wanted to know if anyone has completed their 417 build and is it functioning properly. Being in California I can only have a muzzle break which is impossible to find with M15x1 threading. I'm probably going to have to have the barrel cut and re-threaded. That combined with what seems to be some issues with the PWS barrels this process is becoming a pain in the ass. I need some positive reinforcement.

I love to hear that the guy have completed their build and the guns running fine.

I have a successful build with a Brownell's kit, runs great no issues.

Does a bolt spin freely all the way around in your Brownells barrel extension? If its is assembled, you would have to try it with just the bolt.

If you wouldn’t mind trying, I’d really appreciate it. The barrel I received in early August from Brownells seems way out of spec and frankly dangerous to use.

I’ve got a thread going about it.

I completed mine and it functions fine. Managed to get a factor MR762 barrel (ground off the nub so it would fit) and returned the Brownells one. I used the Brownells bolt, but initially had some FTE. I swapped the extractor with the one that came in the kit and everything has been fine since.

I built mine up but have yet to have time to go to range with it. I has all the issues others have stated in the 417 issues thread. The gas port is a few tenths of an inch too forward so that the AGR does not align with the AGR cutout on the rail. Bolt spins freely (though that now does not seem to be an actual issue).

Yeah, spinning is not an issue, but the actual bolt head space should be gauged if possible.

I run their 15x1 compensator with my HX QD suppressor on the MR762. Works perfectly.
