    Default ATTN: MR762 owners...I have a request.

For those of you that have one...and have Hornady polymer-tipped ammo (Preferably TAP but whatever), I have a small favor to ask.

On your next range trip, I might request a few pics that shouldn't take much of your time.

    - Manually load with the charging handle (racking a round in); then eject that round - take a pick of the tip of the bullet
    - Lock the bolt to the rear, load, send the bolt home loading the next round; eject that round - take a pick of the tip of the bullet
    - Reload, fire 5-10 rounds; unload - take a pick of the tip of the ejected round and ALSO the next 2-3 in the magazine

@fatmat27 if you still got your setup...would be much obliged

I’ll try that next week. I’ve been shooting 178 ELD-X’s and the down range performance has been great.

Usually feed it with Federal Gold Medal SMK 175 but I also have a bunch of regular 147. I'll stop by SGC and pick up a box of the TAP, any preference?

I'd have to assume he's thinking the polymer tips are being deformed during the recoil impulse and/or feed ramp.

    Hmmmm……

Ok, thanks for that. I guess we'll just go with that until and/or unless he says otherwise.

    Cheers!!!!!!
