I posted this on M4Carbine as well.... anybody ever see this when loading rounds in a never used mag?

HK customer service wasn't helpful either...

Feed lip snapped? Nope. But not so surprised, I was never a fan of those mags. They felt very flimsy to me, even somewhat bulging when fully loaded. I have a dozen somewhere, but would rather have a Pmag or Emag any day. Not HK’s finest product.

If you use HK mags, it seems that you might be better off with their steel AR-15 mags and the newer polymer mags:

Wow, that is really surprising. I've never seen that with any polymer magazine that I have owned. I would think that should be a pretty straightforward replacement by H&K.

I had several of the clear HK mags. I gave them away. I like Lancer L5 and D&H mags.

When I talked with HK last August about my translucent mags (the floor plates were sliding forward every other drop on the concrete) they said they were discontinued and had none in stock.

From what I remember that is why I read HK discontinued as drops broke these mags. Although I know I will never be dropping mine on the concrete, unless I am protecting myself from this crazy world, I do wish they would have put out some kind of polymer replacement for the US market. I bought one of those HK Gen 3 ones, but have yet to try it out.
