As has been said numerous times on this board: HKPRO's main reason for being is the exchange of ideas and information on HK-centric stuff. While the Marketplace sections are vibrant and active, they are not the central focus of this board.
If all you are here to do is try to sell stuff, this probably isn't the place for you. If you "sandbag" your post count just to get to the needed threshold that unlocks selling, you'll get slapped with a fish. If you encounter a tepid response to your ad and have less than, say, 50 posts... don't be surprised.
This is a relatively astute group. Buyers and sellers tend to know the value of things and are usually able to sniff out a bad deal (or a great one!) at roughly 1.364 miles.

straightgrain I have a question that pertains to the ad boards. Is it necessary that the sellers tolerate all these comments in their ad thread? What's particularly strange are the confrontational comments which the poster is challenging the seller on points about their item(s). At one time this wasn't tolerated, but seems to have gone uncorrected lately.
