The BC and DE are due to the fact that it was first proofed and sold in 2012, I assume.

It would be the same situation as with the IF on the M7.

Thank you Sir! I was really happy to get it.

I have only ever seen the ones in the Gray Room (23-005 and 23-042).

The USSOCOM is of course no slouch either...

    So cool.

some of the FDE/tan mark 23 with AE date codes have this kind of sight "backwards". one of my tan mark 23 with AE date code have this as well.

    audiction,

Good information to know. Is there a white dot on the angled side of the blade?

My OCD would get the better of me and I'd have to switch it to its proper orientation. Of course if it came like that from the factory then "backwards" would be its proper orientation. A fine OCD conundrum.

yes there's a white dot and it is factory but it was only installed in some fde/tan mark 23 with AE date codes and a few USPs. it is actually rare if you look at it at a different perspective but since I also have OCD I had to order the usual front sight that facing the other way and just kept this "backwards" front sight. it just annoyed me looking at it since the rest of my mark 23s have the usual front sight.
