It fits if i change the handguard for the shorter MP5K version

You have to remove the SP89 fore end but you cannot add the MP5K fore grip unless the gun is registered as an AOW, in the USA. But more importantly, you must have the gun registered as an AOL to legally install it in a case like that. If the gun has a registered sear installed you are good to go as a machine gun trumps an AOW

FYI the case, specifically the mount will tear up the paint/coating on your gun when you shoot it in the case. Nothing a refinish can't fix though!!

@reidpath Will it mar the finish any differently inside the case than using a mount and optic on a gun?

I picked up one on Gunbroker a few weeks ago new unfired for 1925.00. The deals are after the holidays on GB.

Significantly, the mount holds the entire recoil of the gun while it is firing vs just the mass of itself and the optic. Essentially the forces you hold in your hand at the pistol grip and front hand get focused on the mounting points if this makes sense. Some awesome engineering in the mount system.

Also, the ejected cases will put marks into the side of the case right out side of the ejection port where they hit the polymer inside of the case.

Obviously the users of these cases/guns in the field don't care about the pristine finish. But after use, both the case and the gun are clearly used after the firing.
