How does that grip installed without a retaining pin? Is that a screw set up?

Does anyone's SP5K have a hole under the right side rear optic mount clamp spot, the one just behind the ejection port? Poke that crease with a needle and get back to me. Mine has a hole that was filled in with finish until I put a bunch of rounds through it so it wasn't visible even under close inspection.

How big is that hole? Post a pic for us. Another member had same problem and posted a pic while back with same problem and HK customer service replaced it because they determine that it was not normal..

When I bought it the hole was completely filled in with the black finish and invisible. Once I shot it a bunch it opened up.

If someone wanted to test theirs to see if there is a hole you could try pushing a needle through there. If theres a hole it should poke through the finish easily.

I sent an email to HK USA with the pictures.

You will be told send the gun in and they will replace it right away. You can kiss your current one good bye, lol

Not for nothing, they will definitely look into this issue though as there are quite a few others having a same problem.

What is the serial number of this receiver? I'm wondering if this was a batch issue or is it inherent in the model?

Mine is in transit after mods by IGF, so I can't check mine.

I'm going to be really pissed if I paid to have my SP5K re-marked as an MP5K, and had a paddle release installed, only to find out that my receiver had the same issue.
