    Default VP9 FINALLY MA Approved!

Heard some exciting news last week - the VP9 is finally available to be sold in MA! I've been in the market for a new 9 and this looks like it's going to be it. I was really looking for a carry 9 and the VP9 doesn't look much bigger than a Glock 19. Does anyone have any comparison pictures of the VP9 and HK45C side by side - specifically grip length? As anyone had an issues concealed carrying the VP9? I have no problems with my 45C, except for being a tad weighty when full loaded.

    Thanks in advance!

It's closer to a glock 17 size. Ever so slightly bigger than a p30. Very nice shooting gun.

I have carried my VP9 concealed almost every day since I got it about a month ago. It is barely longer than my HK45C. I carry it at my 4'oclcok and it feels exactly the same as carrying my 45C but obviouslya bit lighter. I'm new to all of this stuff but I have no problem carrying the VP9 concealed.

I did a Google and it looks like the VP9 was slightly smaller than the P30. I just found this too - I can't take credit for it. It looks like the VP9 is slightly bigger than a 19. Pretty cool!

You can find a FFL that can do a SSE on it. You have till the end of the year though.

So it will have a 10 lb trigger? Does the standard VP9 have a loaded chamber indicator?

Yes - the standard has the loaded chamber indicator. I need to research the trigger situation - that might be the make or brake! The best thing about the VP9 is the trigger. I hope they don't need to screw with to make it compliant. Stupid state!

Congrats! It's supposed to go before the MD Approved Handgun Registry board this month so I'm hoping it will be available shortly after.
