HK88,
You were recommended to me by someone on another forum as someone that might be able to answer my question. I have an Indep G3 imported by CAI. It appears to be a well-made rifle, but the CAI part scares the hell out of me. I have only 200-300rds through it, but it functions flawlessly, and hits where I aim it. There's no "S" or "X" with the G3 marking, and beyond the Mfg by Indep and the Imported by CAI stamps on the receiver, there just is not much else to go on. The receiver is stamped steel, like a true HK, the chamber is fluted, the cocking tube free floats...in other words, everything is correct except that dang CAI stamp on it. It's like dating a hot chick that lives in a cat house, but still claims she isn't a hooker!!! You WANT to believe her, and she ACTS the part, but she still lives in the cat house, so you wonder!!! Can you tell me anything about these rifles...like is it a keeper or should I ditch it? Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks,
T2D
