Default RDTS reviews? How does their finish compare to with ARS and IGF?

Thinking about having my SP5K refinished at somepoint if i engrave it. Had an FAL built and refinished by ARS and the finish looks really good but i havent fired it yet. No experience with IGF either. Wondering how RDTS was and how durable is their finish really.

My vote would be for TSC Machine.

My RDTS MSG90 clone has a smooth, even satin black finish. I can't speak to durability as I baby it. But it is well executed.RDTS reviews? How does their finish compare to with ARS and IGF?-20181022_172326_1552351778650.jpg

my main concern is just rust during storage but i suppose ARS or RDTS should be good to go? RDTS seems to talk about all sorts of advanced fancy finishing specs. and ARS is allegedly HK authorized

    I'm not into marketing but...
I've never had any paint-over-park finish, including DIY, rust in my experience. Unless the exterior finish was worn through.
FN called this process "Stoving" as used on the SAFN/FN49. WWII Enfields too, still works.

Ralph @ RDTS has done several HK's for me over the years, another one on the way.

Whatever the stuff he uses is, it is hard as the bells of hell and won't give any grief.

He does excellent custom mechanical upgrades as well.

The internals done in permanent PTFE doesn't hurt either.

Ralph at RDTS. He did this one me, and it gets dropped in the creek, thrown off the side by side, dropped, shot and it all comes off with WD-40. Plus, Ralph always answers the phone. Great guy. Don't know what his timeline is right now, but you'll smile ear to ear once you have it.
