Default Mark McWillis aka TROS (trosusa.com)

Just a PSA to stay far, far away from anything to do with TROS or Mark McWillis. He has had my money for two years and eventually sent one thread adapter A YEAR LATER after many emails and calls. It has now been TWO YEARS and I have yet to see my money or the second thread adapter. He will offer to do custom work, give you a "couple week" turnaround time and go radio silent hoping you forget about your order. What a complete waste of time and money

<moderator edit: chune reports that he has received a refund>

I had the same experience for whatever that is worth.

FWIW, he made quality ACOG mounts for the PS90. Forum search indicates he has a history of slow boating his products.

Which thread adaptor did you purchase?

5/8x24 to 1/2x28 for my PTR g3k 22lr kit. The one I never got was 5/8-24 to M15x1 so I could use a BFA on my PTR

Yea his work is good, just the massive delays that can be had are not. I went with a design machines mount for my ps90 instead. I'd personally go with someone else if possible as this issue seems to be ongoing.

I actually had TSC Machine do my ps90 instead. I supplied a gemtech/gsl p90 bilug flash hider and he cut down my barrel and sbr'd the gun. A friend form 1'd his gun and Mike did the sbr engraving and did his barrel cutdown as well. Both were turned around really quick.

For thread adapters its a little harder as tros has a bunch that are hard to find. He had the 40sw/10mm 3lug with the right threading to go on my kriss vector. I got it pretty quick too.

I hope you get your stuff. I've ordered from him almost 9 years ago and it took a bit to get but they did eventually arrive. Email Andrew at atwelltactical at gmail to see if he would be able to/ willing to do that for you. He's local to me and is a fantastic gunsmith. Sorry for the bad luck.

    I’ve had great luck, albeit slow with TROS. Have a couple 5” 3-lug 9mm barrels & a 3-lug adapter.

Told me 4 to 5 weeks, took over 6 months. Good product, not so good service.

Did good stuff 10-15 years ago. Have not heard anything good since. FUBAR'ed a friends R700 threading a few years ago. I warned him....
