Default SP5 is not a limited run program -HK employees @ SHOT

Just wanted to give an update to those who are still waiting to pick up an SP5. I stopped by the HK booth at SHOT yesterday and spoke with two different HK employees about various topics. In both cases, I asked about the SP5, and both people gave similar info, namely that it is not some kind of limited run as some people have been speculating, and that it's a real program and will last. Of course, things can change, but I found this to be reassuring in a market where prices are inflated well over MSRP.

FYI, the second person I spoke with said that 2,000 guns were part of the first import batch, and there is another group of 400 guns that's on it's way in right now.

Just wanted to share this info with all of you.

    Thanks a lot!!
With regards to the P7, there are two classes of people.

    1. Those who know it to be the finest pistol ever produced.

    2. Those who have yet to fire one.

Did you ask them if and when they're going to start shipping the carbine version?

With HK, it's never a Limited Run until it actually just becomes one.

I will say that 400 into 50 states gives 8 sp5 per state. Your gonna still see price inflation happen until shipping quantities are increased or more often. Your gonna have many "not all" it many continue to keep prices increased.

It's gonna be a while before things settle down unless things get ugly with dems.

Just my thought, if time allows, it will lower prices eventually.

It would have been interesting to ask them what led the SP5K to head into the 'limited production' category, given it's continual demand.

Good info, thanks for checking with them and reporting back! I am also curious about the limited SP5k question if you happen to speak with them again.
