I'm pretty sure the trunion is the same, either way. The SD simply has an O ring pressed into the front groove. Of course, I was wrong once before.

Is there any reason you couldn't keep the original german barrel with a little creative machining?

Also, would this build work with a Silencer Co Omega 9 SD?

    Very nice!

Did you keep the german barrel?

I know the SD barrel is threaded near the trunion to accept the SD suppressor, but can those threads be cut on the SP5K barrel?
...or could some sort of collar be machined as a threaded SD adapter of sorts?

No, it's a cut down RCM barrel

Not at home, so I can’t speak to the exact weight. I run my MP5k with an Omega 9k or a Wolf 9SD most of the time, so they are very comparable. Haven’t got to shoot this one - maybe this weekend. The can took 11 months, the gun only 2.

    Hi Guys,
We don't use the factory barrels because there is not enough material after machining for a typical SD rear threaded end cap, we used to make them for that but the RCM products are awesome, we still have a few German barrels we have done but then you would need a custom Suppressor end cap.

    CircleSH or TPM,
I am new to forum and first post... I just finally acquired the SP5K and am very interested in the MP5KSD SBR conversion that you posted early with the SiCo Omega9k suppressor and will be contacting TPM for the barrel conversion. I already own an Omega9k so I thought this might be the easier route for me. I hope you can help me with a couple questions:

    1) I’m assuming this is the standard RCM or BT barrel conversion offered by TPM. If not can you please tell me what is required?
    2) How is the Omega9 attached - via threaded or on the 3 lug.
    3) The SD Handguard looks like a short version. Where can I source that (and what additional parts are needed) or is this something that can be done by TPM. Also, can you revert back to the standard vertical grip handguard (post stamp) after you configure to the shorter SD handguard?

Thank you in advance for your help!
