Yes, you put 416D as the model. It states it right on the form, model as shown on firearm.

I just went through this with USC-UMP and SL8-G36 conversions both stamped.

Just a reference point- my F1 says SL8-6 for the model despite the remark. The serial is related to a SL8 not a G36.

    This comes from @straightgrain

"If you want to remark the *model* information of the weapon, you may do so, providing that your State law allows it, BEFORE you turn it into an NFA item (Title II). Once it becomes a Title II weapon (SBR, MG, etc.) you must receive explicit permission to remark from NFA Branch. And given the avalanche of paperwork they have, do not expect a rapid response. So if you are going to remark your weapon, do it before you apply for that stamp!"

Now whether you mark the model: Mr556 or 416d when filling out the form 1 idk

You put whatever the model is on the receiver, or will be on the receiver when you make it.

This is confusing to say the least. Surely there are many here that have done a HK94 to MP5 conversion that can chime in as well.

Everyone I have seen was remarked and the F3/F4 listed the new model (MP5, MP5SD, MP5K, etc) as the new model.

I remarked my Hk94 to MP5N. No where knob my form does it say HK94. If I ever get around to do a HK416 remark, it will say Model HK416 on the form. Pretty plain and simple and otherwise is just someone’s bad call on how to fill our your Forms.

But in the case of the BRN-4 where the roll marks would
still be in the front, what then?
