Default WTB: USP9 Elite or Expert--Tough to find handguns

Brand spanking new to the forum!

I am looking for a little insight on how to find the elusive USP 9mm Expert or Elite. Is it because they are typically sold only overseas? From what i see in the interwebs is that the Elite is overseas while the Expert is a bit more attainable stateside. I'd like to get into USPSA and HK was a brand I really fell in love with so I was really happy to see HK manufacture competition handguns.

What are people experiences with trying get either of these?

I would check with Mike at Cross Creek Guns, he is a supporting vendor on this site, he could maybe help you out with finding these guns. I would think the Expert could be found giving some time, the Elite I’m not sure if those could be found new, but that’s where I would start, good luck!

    Welcome to the site.

The USP9 Expert is not easy to find now but the 45 seems plentiful.

This is what happens with HK. They release their products in batches and if you catch the cycle wrong then you have to wait. It wasn't too long ago where all you could find were USP 9 Experts and the 45 was hard to get.

You can watch Gunbroker and get one or be patient till they come around.

The USP9 Elite is another animal with HK not importing them for a long time. The 45 was brought in recently as this is a roster pistol fo CA. Those are around on Gunbroker. You might try the Expert first and if that scratches your itch then maybe you can avoid buying the Elite. The USP9 Elite will be pricey to buy.

Don't forget about your local gun shows and a 'tour' of your local gun shops might yield a nice find too.

When it comes to hard-to-find USPs on the internet, be vigilant (like everyday, twice a day). I snagged a USP9 Expert on GB couple of weeks ago within an hour of it going on sale.

Also, Google the SKU or UPC number of the USP9 Expert. A member here recommended this to me, and he claimed he has found HKs at a discount. But it takes effort and time poring thru the hits you'll get.

    Good luck!

Also, if you see what you want, buy it as soon as you see it. If you wait to think it over, it’s too late and someone else has already bought it.

If you are going to play in the HK market things move pretty quickly.

    Thank you all!

From the sound of it, it’s not just me having this problem. Good to know about batch cycles..
