Default WASHINGTON STATE SB5737 - Banning Assault Weapons

(Don't know if this topic is allowed outside of RKBA, worth a shot)

I know there are quite a few of us from WA on here. Please write your reps, asking for them to vote against this: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/bil...Bills/5737.pdf

It is an outright attack against our rights within the Bill of Rights, as well as our rights within the Constitution of the State of Washington.

Everyone in WA... Go to this site to find YOUR State Legislative Representative http://app.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/ For anyone unclear these are the reps that meet in Olympia, not in Washington, D.C. You can also try to meet with them face to face or see them in their offices. They are much more accessible than our Federal Legislative Representatives and you don't need to be a big campaign donor.

So, I live in Spokane, would my voice have no meaning outside of area for the people I vote for?

    Tom,
Mike Padden is the chair of the committee this bill was referred to, outside of your district I would say he is THE one to email. He received A+ rating from NRA, so hopefully he kills this garabage ASAP!

The link above will tell you that you're not in his district, select the option to contact anyway.

It was just referred to committee today, Feb 13th. You can track status of the bill and what's going on with it through this web site http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary.aspx?bill=5737

    SB 5737 - 2013-14

Under 'History of the Bill...' you will see if it is assigned a hearing date. Last day I believe is Feb 22nd for bills to be heard by committee.
