I'm going to get a Navy lower at local gunshow for my HK91, but I'm worried that Navy grip frame is used in all various HK models that I dont' get the right one for .308. Is there any telltale sign for the right parts? Are there anything else to look for in grip frame other than ejector for a specific caliber?

not sure if this will answer your Q, but look at the number of holes, length of the tail of the grip frame, the 308 poly has two holes for the buttstock pins.

I dont know if it matters to you,but the MP5 frame will work just fine on a 91.I have one with my sear in it so I can swap it around with no problems. It wont fit a K gun though.

I have seen a G3K sporting a Navy lower that had the correct 2 hole tang at the rear of the housing. Gordon Miller has these for sale for $150 not clipped and pinned.
