Got a couple of videos from the 3-gun nationals over the weekend. It was a really fun match, and I learned a lot. I found out that I wasn't at all prepared for the long range rifle stuff. I had the chance to zero my rifle at 400, but didn't really get to shoot much, and my lack of experience shooting at distance really showed. I pretty much got my back-side handed to me on those stages, and wasn't prepared for Larue's at 400, or 8" plates at 275. Oh well, I know what I need to practice now. Of course, the HKs worked perfectly, despite the blowing sand (the first two days of the match suffered from 30 mph blowing wind / dust).

Nice shooting. Our 3Gun matches are not so big - lack of real LR ranges (temporary I hope). I use P30L, MR223 and Benelli Supernova combo.

Nice shootin' and great feet as always. I have had the wind and grit for the last three matches, and my P30LS shows it. Makes it dang tough to shoot pistol stages without a distraction, let alone shooting to distance and holding over.

M1S90? Noticed the tube extension. SG reloads are my weak spot.
M2. SG reloads are (one of) my weak areas. I'm using a Mark Otto 'Load 2' vest, and I really like it. I only fumbled one load throughout the match, and, for me at least, it is faster and more reliable than the 4-round holders like the California Comp. Works models.

I liked the vest, never used one, but it looks functional. I use the Calif Comp 5-shot loaders, they are okay, it's me that is broke coming to SG reloads. I've wanted to add an extended tube on my M2, but sticking stock - don't feel like hassling with 922r. Videos looked good and you looked smooth. Was that a NF (optic) on the MR556?

Nice job Razzman, How does the weight of the heavier Mr556 compared to a standard AR affect your times/score. You looked pretty comfortable out there with it.
+ for the P30 V3 BTW!

Well, I'm pretty huge, so the weight doesn't bother me.

Just kidding. Ya, weight is an issue, but not as much as I thought it was going to be. I had my barrel turned down under the handguard to .700", which took about 8 or 9 oz out of the barrel (if I remember correctly), so that helped. But a little bit of weight out there helps keep the barrel from 'floating around' when you are shooting off-hand, so it's a trade-off. A really light barrel / gun swings faster, but it's 'twitchy' to shoot off-hand. I think a medium contour barrel is a good compromise, which is what I was going after with the barrel diameter.

What comp you running on that MR556? The rifle looks like its tracking very well.

You swap out the trigger as well?
It's a Miculek comp. It's one of the cheapest comp / muzzle brakes out there, but very effective. I have a couple other brands that cost me twice as much that aren't any more effective. It's loud, though. The current trigger is a JP that I installed, which I like.
