HK any day of the week. :D By the way, I noticed I'm not the only one who visits the FN boards from time to time! ;)

Nice pics!
Good to see that our neighbours are smarter than we are
and don´t bet on that ****ty G36-system!
Hopefully we settle on that 416/417-system too (but don´t believe it!).
Now we´re wasting the taxpayers money on that dead horse.
Our only hope is that no German soldier must pay the bill in A-stan!
For them the Norge solution looks much better
(stay with the old and trusty G3
untill there is a real good new battlerifle in .223!)!!!

In some tests the G36 has been more reliable than the 416...

I saw them break the last years I serve in the German Bundeswehr!
The years before with the G3 we had not so much problems
with the weapons.
They seems a bit outdated in that moment
nearly all other Nato armies had a 5,56x45mm rifle at hand
and we are happy in the first years we got those G36.
Optical sights, folding stock and so on.
But that changed as the first troops used that rifle extended in training
and all those problems came up (only to say the problems with the optics!)!

Well, you *could* say the recent dust test results for the XM8 should apply to the G36 aswell.

Other than that, I see no problem with the G36. Typical "grass is greener on the other side" phenomenon. Sure the plastic rifle will break before the aluminium one. But that one has its own problems like buffer tube and so on. A2s optics are already a big step forward. Anyways, the difference would hardly make a costly re-equipping worthwhile.

but we heared all over that the G36-Family have no problems
