I have a German made 45c, date code AI. I want to convert from version 1 to LEM light trigger with manual external safety (control) lever.
(Basically v5 with a light LEM trigger.)
I realize their will be no decocking action possible & that there will be significant slack "takeup" in the trigger. I believe that based on
Carrera's excellent video on this site I can accomplish this with a "universal" LEM kit for USP's & 45 or 45 c by leaving in the v1 hammer axle/control lever.
My Question - Is there any need or advantage to replacing the v1 detent plate with a v5-6 detent plate?
I have researched this extensively on this site, but I would appreciate any further tips.
Thanks
