2125 Views 15 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  Shattered Mind
Well the last time i posted it was about 30 days into the wait, now at day 55 i am going alittle crazy. Instead of once a week phone calls to check to ask the gun store if they heard anything i started once a day. Each time he says still waiting. Today he said "ive heard something then i didnt", what the hell does that mean. He said he would call me back but didnt. Advice from you pros out there is needed. I have all the proof, receits, that the gun was released back into there care. please help

What are you waiting for? A new firearm, or yours to be shipped back to you from repairs? If you've been waiting 55 days for a new gun, WTF?
He made the mistake of using the gunstore to return a Century POS for "repairs" (instead of directly and telling them you will be reporting the results HERE) and he is now suffering for it
I bought a c93, it would not cycle and the bolt gap was not there. i tried all different ammo, recleaning. Nothing worked.
I am suffering, hard lesson

Ah. I see. That sucks, dude. You would think the shop would at least not add to the problem...

Edit: I'm learning that my front sight issue isn't that big of a problem and I don't really want to send it back to Century....

That would depend on the shop. If I ran one I would not sell Century any way
So what are my choices if this continues?

MY choces:

Custom Ghillie build (which may be a Century C93 as a base parts kit or not)

Vector V93

Original HK93

If Ghillie was not a reputable custom builder who I trust I would just be saving up for an original HK93
My rule of thumb is get the HK when ever it costs less than a grand more than a working clone .... thus get German HK91s and HK93s but the HK33K and HK53s are clones ;-)

Gee, JT, where are you finding $1500 HK93's?
I got one out of a prison about six years ago... $600. However, it looked like hell. Sent it out for a checkup and a refinish and it looks AND performs like new. I've got less than 1K into it.
Have you called century? I''ve had gun shops not even send the weapon in for weeks after I dropped it off for repairs.

Shattered,

Wannna make a quick $500 buckaroos on that little rifle? I'll even throw in an HK coffee mug and my February 2012 issue of Guns & Ammo

If you can get me next Wednesdays Plain Dealer newspaper NOW it'd be a deal. You could keep the coffee mug...
