Thanks to everyone for the advice when needed and all the great info and stories. You have all been more than courteous and helpful. This USP was my first handgun and I'll never let her go :)

If she's anything like mine, she wants you to get another and have a threesome. :440:

USP45f is the only gun I have two of.
All I read through that post was that you shot through $400-$500 worth of ammunition in a single range session o_O
Congratulations on your new HK! There aren't too many pistols available today that will run 1,000 rds. with zero failures right out of the box -- that's excellent.

I love my USP .45C. It's a superb handgun by any measure.
1,000k brand new without any failures IS impressive. I buy most of my handguns new and it is a rare thing for them not to stutter in the first 500 rounds or so. My Gen 4 Glock went back to Smyrna after the first range trip.

Congratulations on the 1000 round mark and kudo's for doing your research and buying the iconic USP for your first handgun.
Congrats on your fine weapon. I love the usp line!
I love my USP 45. I am currently at 2,444 I have a bunch more that is standing by to go through. I can't wait.

Glad you love yours.
First pistol I ever bought as well. Dumped a whole tax return on it while in college when it should have gone elsewhere but that what 2 jobs were for! In any light, I have never regreted it and it will never leave my possesion. Eats everything I throw at it and has been abused to boot with no issues to speak of! I have said it countless numbers of times on this forum about the USP 45 but here it goes again....CONGRATS AND ENJOY!!!!
Bought mine new in Dec 2010 as my first firearm too, and have nearly 5,000 rounds through it with absolutely no failures what-so-ever. It will literally eat and spit out anything. You're going to enjoy that baby for a while. Definitely worth the money. Gotta love HK!
I have been wanting one of these for awhile, now.
Reading over all these comments my mind went back to when I first bought the S&W 4506 21 years ago. I didn't think any pistol would ever measure up to the reliability it's always given regardless the age of springs or the choice of ammo. While I haven't shot nearly as much as most with my USP-C 45 since it's relatively new, I've put 300 rounds through it and like the 4506, it doesn't care what you feed it. No bobbles with 230 gr HST, GDHP's, Ranger T, reloaded ball ammo, etc. It always feed buttery smooth and fires and ejects every time-sow or rapid fire. THIS is what a pistol should do and the HK excels in this area.
Congrats! Love the USP :)
BB code on a USP - glad to see new blood in the beast's bloodlines. Definitely a classic.
