Here is the coding sequince.
A =0 ; B=1 ; C=2 ; D=3 ; E=4 ; F=5 ; G=6 ; H=7 ; I=8 ; K=9

AI=2008 ;KK=1999; AC=2002 ; KE=1994

First two letters after the serial on right side of the slide. My VP40 BG = 2016

Yours is probably like mine. I have 4 VP9SK's. 2 have date codes and 2 do not. Barrel, frame and slide all with matching serial numbers but no date code. Just a serial number and "DE".
I think there was a time frame there where they weren’t marked (guessing when your 2 that aren’t marked were made) and now they are again? I seem to remember something about that? That and some issue with the proof house and not being antlered for a while. Seems like I knew the story at one point lol.
Congrats on the VP9SKs. They shoot great.

Is there some harm done? Why do you care?
Thanks for the info to all who replied. Mine is a VP9 purchased brand new from a dealer a few days ago. However I was confused by the letters DE after the serial number as shown in the photo. @Kieth - I have no idea what a necro-bump is.
