I really Like my Obsidian 45, but that's the only thing i have to compare.

 

I also like this can. I purchased one specifically for the MK23.

 

Knights for the cool factor but price prohibitive so I’d say the B&T is your best bet since it has the correct booster out of the box.

 

I like my B&T SOCOM suppressor, on my Mk23. But, it's also the only one I have right now. So take my vote lightly.

 

I have the exact combo. The XVL2 kind of sucks for the price but it definitely looks good on the Mk23. I haven't been super impressed with the B&T can but it works well enough and makes the MK23 extremely flat and enjoyable to shoot

 

I really like the look and I have Night Vision through work so o would be able to do some range shooting at night

It’s just not that quiet compared to the obsidian 45. It’s fine and I like it for the fact that it was made for the MK23 but waiting to see how CATs .45 can will be once they release it.

 

You are correct in your thinking. If you can swing ditching the IRC and keeping the XVL2 you will be much happier with it.

 

Can confirm, the mk23 can is cool looking on but mine is not that quiet compared to my osprey45

 

Another vote for the Osprey here.

It is transformative.

 

The osprey looks bad ass now I don’t know which can I want. I like that the B&T was built for it but that osprey profile is something else.

 

^^ Osprey for the win! No Suppressor looks more at home on any pistol than an Osprey on an HK. That said, I you want that operator look for your 'Crew Served Handgun' get the B&T...Just sayin'

 

Was fortunate to have just compared my Huxwrx RAD45 to an Osprey 2.0. About the same shush level; first round sounded different, but not really louder.
Lining up a pew date to compare to an Octane45.
Lobos rail adapter and a Surefire 300; bought it as a range toy; was never a gamer (other than Gran Turismo) and don't remember seeing it in any movies, so just functional.

 

Any concerns with using the sights on the B&T? It looks like the osprey can has no issues.

 

No problem seeing the sights, with the B&T, on the Mk23.

Obsidian 45 is quieter, but the Osprey 45 looks better IMO.

 

I have an Osprey and I like the look and performance - but I prefer to shoot it unsuppressed for the balance when shooting anything more than a magazine or two. The pistol is massive and adding an equally massive can isn't the best combo for a prolonged range session.

There's something to be said for a well balanced setup.

That being said, I will probably grab the new CAT 45 can coming up, specifically to shoot in Short configuration. With the way their cans have historically performed, it'll probably be quieter anyways.
