Ace stock

Is anyone here using a Ace folding stock on a 5.56 HK roller lock. I am considering putting one on my 33k. My question is what kind of buffer comes in the stock? Is it the hard rubber one similar to the ones that come in choate stocks?

Huh... nice thought. I didn't realize ACE made a stock for the HKs. I always liked the FAL stock look, I'll have to check into this.

Looking at the receiver block, I'd say it is just like the Choate "H" buffer:

Yeah I have seen videos from Michaels machines with those stocks mounted on the 13/23K's. Im just not sure how well those buffers will hold up while shooting full auto.... 9mm I wouldnt worry about but 5.56...

You could try:

Similar to what Ralph is using on the .308, just substituting the .223 backplate.

dt662--- I run my MM53 pistol with the Choate looking buffer/cap shown above by Turbo Com...runs fine full auto but to be honest I usually run the MM53 as SBR with a fixed stock instead.

As an aside... Turbo Com's example of ace block + ace folding stock + recoil rod assembly is exactly what I run on my PTR-32 full auto....runs fine.

Thanks for the info guys. It looks like the Ace 308 buffer would be in kinda far on a 223 receiver and might need to be cut down a little.... Opinions?
One of the guys is running an ACE on his MM23eK ... bottom video on http://www.556beltfed.com/
Have mine in the order shopping cart but deciding on stock (medium?) and pad length (1" vs 1/2") before hitting send.

I run the ACE on a PTR PDW 308 and I really like it.... Great stock
