The inside surface of the SS slide on my AE USP.45 has turned a deep gray color by, I think, old gunpowder residue. EEzox won't remove it. Any suggestions? Old-fashioned bore cleaner? TIA

PS: The outside surface is perfect.

It's friction wear, doubt that you can touch it with a solvent. You'll have to have it sand blasted to remove it.

Dont bother with the inside finish as long as its not rust, its just the aged 'patina' of the stainless steel, and should not be an issue. Keep it clean/oiled and attempt to 'shoot the rails off' your USP =)
