I have(on a 93) the IOR 1.5x8 and its a great scope, built like a tank with great optics
Does this mean an IOR scope, and were you able to mount it in the 30mm claw mount on your HK93 and have adequate clearance etc. for it? Thanks for the help!Trigger 643 said: I recently picked up a 4x14 and think it is excellent
I looked at your setup, and yes, it does look as though it is mounted a bit far to the rear. When I shoot from prone my face is pretty much right on the hump at the joint of the buttstock and the endcap. As it *looks* to me, your setup must be set up for benchrest or something as the stock looks very short. Do you suppose from a prone position you could mount your scope further forward? AZShootist, how far is it, measured from the insides of the rings, between them. Stated differently, how large is that center section on your scope, and do you suppose that the M2 is pretty much the same in outer dimension? When you say that you couldn't mount the M2 this far back without a rail extension to me that implies that the scopes are quite different, the M1 from the M2?AZShootist says: I have an M1, and had an M2 on an AR-15. They are great scopes, but the short eye relief, shortness of the scope, and the large section in the center of the scope made the M2 a poor candidadate for an AR-15 optic, because the scope could not be mounted far enough back to be shot comfortably. I imagine that the mounting issue would be a bigger problem on an hk93. These are fine scopes, but I'm not sure what platform would work well with the M2.
