I have noticed now much more folks are moving to IWB or even AIWB lately. I guess where I struggle specifically with AIWB (while not having tried it) is in and out of the car. Figure that must be pretty close to "no cigar" using AIWB. So if one was going to go IWB and not AIWB, would you guys think 2:30 to 3:00 to maybe 3:30 to 4:00 makes the most sense, maybe with some cant particularly if 3:30 to 4:00 if you are in and out of a car?

or:

Would you guys think that in and out of a car could be best facilitated with OWB on the belt?

noseoil, which of the OWB "cotton's new pancake" are you referring to?

I decided on the standard Garrett IWB since I figured it would give me the most options to try. I am going to try it with the tuckable loops and I got one of their HD clips as well. It can even be converted to AIWB if I am not mistaken so even that option would remain open with that model. Just going to have to try a few different things and work it out.

I really like the design of the Garrett as it seems about as practical a design as there could be. Besides I simply do not find the idea of waiting 6, 12 and 24 months for a holster attractive. If I can get the same or better practical usage out of something I can get in a couple of weeks, the artistry of some of these holsters sort of goes out the window for me when the time element is so extended.

Got to hand it to Garrett. They seem to have used a technologically advanced approach to solve a number of the issues in holster design and production. It is often double costly to get a holster that is lined with the smooth side facing the pistol. Granted their holster looks utilitarian as heck but I sort of like things that look utilitarian. To me they have an aesthetic appeal all their own. Now I can well see somebody that looks at holsters from a different perspective thinkin' I am a few sandwiches short of a full picnic but hey, it takes all kinds.
