AR parts and HK MR's

I've never owned an MR, but I'm familiar with the operation of the rifle. So I realize the uppers are completely different in operation. But What about the lowers are any of the parts compatible? Can you put a MR upper on an AR lower? Or AR upper on an MR lower?

Just wondering.
