Is cheap all things considered. The price....
The barrel is made in Switzerland. It says so on the outer tube.....For a USA made barrel they should be $250 and after the initial batch is completed the other B&T dealers will have them for less. Just FYI for those that don't want to overpay.
Was it you that told me they we're going to be made here? Maybe someone else. But still, I'm waiting until the other B&T dealers can get them. The barrel is made in Switzerland. It says so on the outer tube.....

I want to say it was dakota tactical on here that said they were getting the barrels for oem use(ie installing on their own firearms) but that hkparts had an exclusive agreement to sell them at retail.Unfortunately it seems they will be the only ones selling them. At least for the time being.
Shockwave
We have been given the new B&T MP5KN barrels under and OEM agreement which allows us to utilize them in our D54 family of firearms however prohibits us from sales of the barrels themselves. Retails sales of the barrels are currently an HKParts exclusive.
Yeah, but DT is getting them from HKParts at "dealer cost". Basically adding layers, there-by increasing costs to the customer or to be absorbed by the dealer.I want to say it was dakota tactical on here that said they were getting the barrels for oem use(ie installing on their own firearms) but that hkparts had an exclusive agreement to sell them at retail.
How do we know anyone was shafted? Perhaps HKParts was the only one willing to fill their MPO so they received the order.Yeah... I'll just say that's complete horse **** that B&T shafted their other dealers from carrying them. Reminded me of the mistake HK made a years ago with outsource their parts biz.
Yeah, maybe... Maybe not, but I'm willing to bet a buck that millions can be made by controlling supply and keeping competition out. Yes, that can be called capitalism, but it can also be a monopoly as well. How do we know anyone was shafted? Perhaps HKParts was the only one willing to fill their MPO so they received the order.
When you have a bunch of extra cash floating around because you don't pay taxes (or buy a company from relatives for pennies on the dollar), you can make exclusive arrangements with suppliers.Yeah, maybe...
