What is wrong with the original HK stocks ? People balk at paying HK price , do you think they will pay $700 for the Swiss made stock ?

 

Cause no one has ever paid to put a high $ B&T product on an HK before?

Looks like B&T is up to taking that challenge worldwide...some will bitch while others will spend! JAT

 

I don't like the look of those personally. The HK stock is classic and looks much better.

I don’t like AR stocks on HK’s either. Doesn’t look right to me.

 

Ugly as hell, offers no benefit over an HK one

 

If it is stronger than the original A3 that might be interesting. My buddy John McClane was almost killed at Nakatomi Plaza when his A3 collapsed unexpectedly.

If you don't like the aesthetics, that's understandable. But to say it offers no benefit is a blatant lie and show of bias and nostalgic reaction. The new B&T stock is lighter than the original collapsible stock and has three positions, something many people have been wanting for decades and the only way to achieve it was to modify the original stock. Not everyone wants to modify parts nor pay the money to modify it, nor should they have to. Now they don't. B&T is a fantastic company and they know what they are doing. I honestly don't even think that the stock looks that much different from the original, at first glance they are very similar aesthetically.

 

Lighter weight which is good, but that buttpad looks a bit small? Maybe it wouldn't be an issue, A2 is best anyway.

 

B&T releases MP5 retractable stock



I decided to order one I will let you fellows know how I like it on the Sp5 so far I like everything about it. I know Dan Haga is working on a back plate for the apc stocks wonder if it will work on the Mp5 stock.

B&T makes great products, maybe not always the best looking but serve the function perfectly and with logic

MP5 "weight issue", really? Are we all millennials? Hk and weight sensitivity don't play well together. That said, the MP5 is anything but heavy...

The problem with cloning is they want to make it affordable to the people who cannot afford original factory HK.

Or for people who can't buy HK due to laws.

 

The only reason for this stock to exist is it's 3 position function, allowing for better adjustment to the user for considerations such as body armor, protective mask, and/or cramped conditions inside a vehicle, etc..

I can tell you that the four years I worked in Iraq the stock on my M4 never got further out than the first position unless I was on the range. With full rig/plates you NEED that capability to adjust, the rig takes up space you'd use the stock to cover if you weren't wearing any. Whereas previous to that experience and not wearing armor my SOP was to crank the stock all the way out. I don't do that anymore.

Now, you being in a situation where you feel the need to wear that kind of armor but think an MP5/9mm is sufficient to your needs, that's a different question. The only MP5 I see a real world use for these days is the SD and I already have a B&T side folder on it which I feel is the best option of all available, offering compact stowage while being very fast to get into action, after which it offers the stability and comfort of an A2 stock.

If they anodized the arms black it would look better. Like a F stock.

 

It looks okay, but I don’t like how the stock struts sit outside of the receiver, instead of utilizing the recesses.

 

I was wondering if the stock wasn’t fully extended and was set on a shorter notch. Wouldn’t the arms sticking out sang on everything?
