Can anyone lend some guidance on getting the factory fire control group out of my MR556A1 Competition...it has a few extra parts in there (compared to an AR) that I'm not familiar with, and I just don't feel like jacking things up / attempting to take things apart without an idea. I've looked around, but I actually haven't found much on the topic. Please let me know if I need to just push the pins out, or if there are any special steps to the process. Thanks!

Not sure if this helps, but I replaced my factory MR556 trigger with a Geissele. To get the factory trigger out, i just pushed the two pins just like on any other AR and everything dropped right out.

However, there were a bunch of those "extra" parts that came out too. I wouldn't have the slightest idea how to re-install them-- but i wasn't concerned with that.

Comes out like any other FCG.. If you have problems I will respond. Or One of the HK armorers can help.

Thanks for the advice. Came out with no issues. Now to send this thing off...
