Hi all. sorry if this is a repeat. I bought an HK USP in .40S&W and have a Dillon RL 550B reloading set I just bought. Looking for some good recipes for .40S&W loads...what powder, bullets, and websites to buy from. Any/all info on .40S&W reloads would be great.

thanks!

40 SW reload

zipper046 I use 155 gr ranier bullets and unique powder 6.2 -7.0 gr -6.6 works for me for range ammo, it is a little dirty but smoother burn ,also use a dillon, which is incredibly accurate for the powder charge ! good luck rsmm3

I like Winchester Silvertips. They have been around a long time, are field proven, and rate well in accuracy in actual HK USP 40 tests.
Hydroshock and Ranger seem to be the most popular.

200 gr bullet over Hodgdon HP-38 is soft and accurate. Doesn't use a lot of powder either. I use a Precision Delta bullet, but there are other companies making 200 gr bullets out there.

A company called SNS casting makes a 220 gr bullet which I will be trying.

If you're target shooting at anything less than 12 yards I'd say use the lightest load as you can that will still cycle the slide. Your brass will wear out much quicker if you're using super hot high pressure loads, especially in a 40 S&W.
