Would like thoughts on this.
POF5. Big placard of writing on the right side of the mag well with the maker and importer markings.
Would it be taboo to hit those markings with cold blue to tone them down a bit? They aren't altered, still there as required and easily read. And the bluing could be reversed with some steel wool or naval jelly.
What says you? Yay or nay?
Shouldn't be an issue in the least. The engraving is INTO the metal to the required depth and hitting it with cold blue does nothing to obstruct or alter that fact. The law doesn't demand contrast, it speaks to content, depth, and size.
