I don't see it on most of my pistols other than my Walther PPQ. If it bothers you it can be removed with bore cleaning solvent. I think regular Hoppes NO 9 would remove it if that area was dabbed with it and left on for an hour or so. I used some Pro-Shot coper solvent I had on hand for my PPQ and it did a good job of quickly removing it. Some bore solvents are pretty harsh though so as always read instructions carefully and some can even damage poly frame .
