Don't know if you guys remember my posting: I returned a c93 for bolt gap problems and failure to eject. Well this is how it finally ended. I was getting the run around for 60 days. On the 61st day i called numerous times, then said screw it and went down to the store. Much to my surprise the place was closed. I mean out of business. My heart sank what a bad feeling. I called the california place that owns the store. The ATF closed them down for bad business. I was promised a money return for gun because my return was being held up in ATF issues, so i was told. Well at the 90 day mark i informed them i was making a small claims with my county. Then i called our local ATF agent and he stated that yes they were under investigation, He stated he would call them to check on my rifle. Well that day i received a call form the gun store and a check arrived 3 days later. Thanks to that ATF agent in Wilmington. So now i am out a gun but have my money back. So i guess not all problems are Century related.

Glad you got your money back, but this is why anyone with a defective Century gun should send it directly back to Century for repair. This way the gun owner can call Century to check up on the repair status. GARY N4KVE

Wow... glad you were made whole again. I wouldn't have thought that the gun store itself went under, but I suppose anything can happen, especially these days. Schumer happens... I guess.

+1.

It's like $12 to UPS/FedEx ground a long gun for repair.

Well worth the money, as you control your destiny and the gun gets shipped directly back to your house.

As far as sending it back to Century I would just be worried I would get another lemon.
But at least the OP would be able to call Century to ask about the rifle he directly sent to him. Since he gave the gun to Joe's Gunshop, & they sent it to Century, they will tell him to FO because they don't know who he is, & won't tell him anything since he's not Joe. This is why anybody needing to send a defective gun back to Century should send it themselves, not have the selling gunshop do it. Of course, the chances of getting back a different piece of crap is pretty high. GARY N4KVE
