Have a few scratches on my c 93 receiver and would like to know where can I find the gray flat paint to do some touch up.

Thanks

I don't think that's paint Top. That's parkerizing. It's a whole process. I got some satin black paint and sprayed my gun. Came out really nice.
Is there no way you can touch up the parkerizing??
Not that I know of. Pretty positive you'd have to re-park the whole thing.

Brownell's has an epoxy paint (Aluma-hyde II) that matches early Colt gray and also gray park pretty decently. It can be used as an air dry or baked and is very durable.

If you like the parkerized color finish, it would be best to do the whole gun to insure a uniform finish.

You could always finish it in HK black.
What type of prep work is needed and what type of spray paint is recommended to get it black. I am guessing the paint must be heat proof.

Thanks for all the info
I sprayed it with a can of krylon. It was just regular satin black paint. Came out great. It's just metal. Paint it the same way you do anything else. Light coats. That's the el' cheapo way. Worked for me. It is, after all, a $600 dollar gun.
you might want to try "touchup" with duracoat juss dont get the color hk black it has a high gloss to it and will blind you when the sun shines on it ,they do have a large variety and you can put it on with a very smal airbrush that you can get at any hardware store, parkerizing is chimical corroding metal like blueing and you can redo eassy small parts with a stainless steel pan but a whole rifle requers a bit more investment and you need proper ventilation its hard on the lungs.

Yer learning...
I thought the HK Duracoat is the closest match to original factory semi gloss black? I read this many times and just got mine in yesterday. Gunna attempt my first airbrushing on a parked c93 and decided to go with the duracoat because of the match and ease to work with it. I read the Gunkote is very ****** . I guess I'll find out this weekend.

It's good... and certainly one of the easiest brands to apply. You can kill the gloss by adding less hardner... or get a wet look by increasing the amount of hardner. All depends what blows yer skirt up... I like the gloss... 3 mile deep and still wet gloss...

You really want dull? Park it and grab a black majic marker...
hkaltwasser you will like it its a breeze to use and a little goes a long way.

I haven't worked up to pink yet shattered!

is OK, Mang... it takes a tough Dawg to paint a tender Kitty...

I've actually touched up anodizing with a sharpie. It works uncomfortably well....
I used a product called G96 Brand GUN BLUE CREME. It took about 5 minutes, and blended well with the parkerized finish.
The closest I have found for phospate parker is Brownells matte grey gunkote. Looks just like the grey parker on the 3 lug tip.
