Sold out when I tried to order it today...

I hit the submit button and the order form said "the item is no longer available". I called Customer Service twice and one of their local stores to see if I could order it and figure out a work around......Their response was "Sir, Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do. We are completely sold out".

 

Well, they issued a tracking number already so no bad taste like RKguns yet.

 

A little birdie told me that a big batch in landing and lots of stores should be getting stock in the next few weeks...

365 trigger return spring (trs) have been problematic for them. Factory calls for replacement at 1500-2000 rounds. Several of the range rental guns had the trs fail in as little as 600 rounds. It renders the trigger useless and the gun inoperable. Might be a bad batch, who knows.

 

Everyone obviously assumed you were talking about the CC9 trigger return spring.

I picked up my CC9 from SW yesterday (Jan 24), after seeing this thread and placing an order on Jan 17.

No other retailers have one in stock at this moment, per gun.deals, although there are a half-dozen on GB, from $710 to $999.

I also ordered one from my LGS/range on 10/19, not knowing it'd be 3+ months before it came in... on the fence about getting a second. Have to chew on that for a bit.

 

How are these as shooters?

I shot mine back to back with the 43x last week. Pretty similar in the way they shoot.

I find the 43x grip slightly more comfortable. The cc9 regular backstrap is pretty darn comfortable but moved around a little more in my hands. I'll probably try the larger backstrap for more surface area.

The sight picture it's probably the biggest difference going back and forth. The normal HK sight picture likes the target right behind the tritium dot vs. glocks at the top of the front sight blade.
